 Get on the Grow!

The School Nutrition Association of Arizona (SNAAZ), along with our national organization (SNA), offers many opportunities for professional growth. Each fall, SNAAZ holds a conference, at which classes are offered on many subjects relating to our profession. In the spring, our Professional Growth Conference again offers many courses for the attendees. In addition to the learning opportunities at our conferences, our state association will help interested parties to start taking online courses offered through both the School Nutrition Association and through NFSMI (National Food Service Institute in Mississippi.)

In addition to the classes mentioned above, Arizona Department of Education (ADE) offers classes on many topics through out the year, and in various parts of our state. Please contact ADE for more information regarding these classes.

Our Annual National Conference (ANC), offers several days of breakout sessions on many, many topics, again all related to school food service. A National Leadership Conference is offered annually for members who are taking on leadership positions in the local chapter/state boards.

ServSafe classes, a requirement for food service managers, are frequently offered at various locations.

For questions regarding any of these professional growth opportunities, please contact our Executive Secretary, Cathy Wylet, at (602)375-7731 or at wyletca@cox.net
